The Association was started in the fall of 2002 when it was recognized that the firefighters of the Town of Hilton Head Island needed a legitimate vehicle to raise and donate monies, equipment and in-kind services to local charities and to promote the involvement and perception of the firefighters within the community.

On July 14, 2003 the Association was incorporated in the State of South Carolina as a Public Charity and subsequently obtained 501(c)(3) designation from the Federal Government.

Since our inception, we have granted over $250,000.00 in cash donations or life safety equipment.
